The Laurasia class is ZAFT's standard production space battleship. Equipped with an array of energy cannons and railguns, the Laurasia class is more heavily armed than most Earth Alliance battleships. It also features an internal storage hangar that can hold up to six mobile suits. The hangar, located in the lower section of the ship, can also separate and serve as an atmospheric re-entry capsule. Despite the introduction of the faster and more powerful Nazca class, the Laurasia class continues to function as ZAFT's workhorse ship throughout the Bloody Valentine War.
