The MR-Spi05 Rib is a worker mobile suit developed by the Moonrace. One of the main functions of the Rib is to create chain link fences to cordon off areas settled in Inglessa by the Moonrace and inhabited by civilians. In the early days of the war, the Earth Militia seizes several Rib units and attempts to use them in combat. The Rib is also used by Moonrace citizens who have decided to live alongside the people of Earth. In one incident, a Rib is used for a town festival to create a float based on the SYSTEM ∀-99 ∀ Gundam for a river parade. Unfortunately, the sight of the ∀ Gundam triggers a relapse in mentally unstable Moonrace pilot Corin Nander, who steals a Rib and attacks the float, which he has mistaken for the real thing.
