In the years following the 7th Space War, the Space Revolutionary Army rebuilt its forces. In September A.W. 0015, the Garbera served as colonial leader Seidel Rasso's flagship during Operation Dahlia, an attempt to conquer Earth by attacking it with a colony laser. Although the operation was foiled by Garrod Ran's GX-9901-DX Gundam Double X, the 8th Space War began between the New United Nations Earth and the SRA in October. After a brief lull in the fighting, the Garbera landed on the Moon, where Rasso and others learned the truth about Newtypes from D.O.M.E. Although the fighting had temporarily stopped while Rasso and New UNE leader Fixx Bloodman were on the Moon, it began again when New UNE agents Shagia and Olba Frost sent a force down to the Moon to capture the satellite system's control base. When the Garbera returned to the battlefield, it was destroyed by the Frost brothers in their quest to destroy the world and create a new one without Newtypes.
