Technical and Historical Notes

During the One Year War, the Salamis class cruiser is one of the mainstays of the Federation Forces fleet. However, as part of the 70s Armament Reinforcement Plan, it predates the creation of mobile suits and thus features no dedicated storage space. After the war, many ships are refitted to the Salamis Kai configuration, which features a mobile suit launch deck and a hangar capable of storing up to four suits. During the Gryps Conflict, the Salamis Kai is commonly used by the Federation Forces, the Titans and the AEUG resistance group. The Salamis Kai remains in service with the Federation Forces for many decades to come and is in use as late as UC 0153 during the Zanscare War.
