Developed in secret by the Orange gaming company, the Hargan is deployed in battle during Orange's rebellion against E=X. The Hargan is easy to control because Orange utilizes its control system in two popular combat simulator video games, Hard On and Hard On II. The company scouts out top players to become cyber plug-equipped pilots. The Hargan is more heavily armed than the E=X Garland, featuring shoulder missiles, forearm grenade launchers, wire launchers and a beam gun. The Hargan's suicidal pilots manage to reach the E=X Tower, but most of them are wiped out by the mysterious, thousand-year-old Original Garland.
