Technical and Historical Notes

The M135 Frogman is an underwater construction labor produced by Hishikawajima Heavy Industries. The airtight Frogman is capable of working underwater at depths of up to 50 meters. Thanks to its large air tank, the Frogman has a longer operation time than other labors that perform underwater work. When the Tokyo police's SV2 labor tries to nudge a stray humpback whale out of Tokyo Bay, driver Hiromi Yamazaki is sent underwater in a Frogman to broadcast whale song and lure the whale out to the open sea. However, the effort proves ineffective because the whale was guarding her baby.
