Technical and Historical Notes

The SRX-70 is a prototype law enforcement patrol labor produced by Toyohata Auto and Hishii Heavy Industries. With its advanced specs and armament, the SRX-70 is a step up from the aging MPL-97S Python used by Division 1 of the Tokyo police's SV2 labor unit. Members of SV2 become suspicious of the labor for several reasons, including suspension of payment until official rollout and all maintenance being handled by Toyohata's mechanics instead of the SV2 maintenance squad. When it's discovered that Toyohata is a front for Schaft Enterprises to gain police combat data for the development of its military labors, Division 1 Capt. Shinobu Nagumo returns the SRX-70 to the manufacturer. Schaft later rolls out the production model SR-70 Saturn for sale to security firms.
