The seventh unit of the Earth Federation's Tsentr Project, the Garmraid is a super robot that specializes in melee combat. It is powered by the experimental Terminus energy engine. Because of this, the machine is manned by two pilots: Hugo Medio and Aqua Centolm. Hugo handles the actual combat maneuvers while Aqua monitors the unstable TE engine. It is equipped with the bloody ray in its forehead, a fang knuckle on each shoulder which is equipped to the hands before being fired, and a thunder spin edge in each leg. It can also focus Terminus energy into its fist to perform its Burning Breaker attack. After the apparent theft of the YµP-05 Medius Locus, Hugo and Aqua take the Garmraid and chase after it. They are ordered to join the Federation's Londo Bell taskforce to fight humanity's other enemies while also searching for the Medius Locus. After several encounters with the Medius Locus, which was piloted by Hugo's former mentor Albero Est and Aqua's former mentor Eldy Middi, the Garmraid is defeated and its TE engine stolen. It then receives an improved TE engine and is upgraded into the YTA-09RB Garmraid Blaze.
