Following the end of the Veela rebellion on planet Melkia's Kummen jungle reason, Chirico Cuvie and Fyana attempt to escape, only to be whisked away to the mysterious Space Battleship X. This large vessel is fully automated and supplied, but its course has been locked in and cannot be altered. As the ship enters the Nonaggression Zone, it comes under attack from Balarant forces and later the Secret Society. Finally, the ship reaches its destination: Sunsa, a world completely ravaged during the Hundred Years War and now little more than a wasteland. After the damaged ship lands on Sunsa, Chirico sets the ship to self destruct when the Secret Society and Perfect Soldier Ypsilon attack once again.
