This is the first of the new Extended MSiA line and a damn good one at that. This is a Gouf 2nd Version pretty much and I have waited for this for a long time. But is it worth it? Let's see!

Head

The head of this EMSiA is awesome and is articulated in a whole new way. There is a ball joint under the head that is connected to the body with another ball joint. That ball joint sticking out is connected to the head via a odd connector piece that the ball joint snaps into (it's not a hole) and that piece is connected to the head with, you guessed it, a ball joint giving the head extreme articulation. The head can look any direction and can even move the neck forward and backward! It is painted VERY well with black panel-lines on the cables around the head. There are also panel-lines on about every line on the Gouf's head. The mono-eye is painted pink with a black scanner range. This is the first MSiA (or EMSiA) to have a shadowing effect to come with it. There is a fine black on it as if it was a shadow or if it has come from battle (not like the crappy Battle Scarred line).

Torso

The torso on this MS is remarkable with the articulation and painting. The torso can be taken into 3 different parts all connected with ball joints. It has black panel-lines on it and has yellow on the cockpit area. It has dark gray under the head and the backpack is in light gray The backpack, like the Zaku II 2.0, is removable and the thrusters move a great deal. The skirt armor is movable but will warp if left moved. The Gouf can lean forward or back and side to side a lot. Like he Zaku II 2.0 again, it has a hole on both sides of it's skirt armor (for heat hawk, sturm faust, etc.) and on the back. This piece is also "shadowed" all over too. The main parts of the body are in blue and the coils around the body are movable.

Arms

The arms are double-jointed and are connected just like the Gundam Second Version and can move forward and backward for more articulation. The shoulder pads are connected a new way too. There is a piece inside the shoulder pad that is a piece with two knobs sticking out (like this -|-) and that goes into the piece on the arm. The hands fit in tight and the heat rod part doesn't come off (unlike the Gouf Custom). The arms have the "shadowing" look to them, like the rest of the figure. The shield doesn't actually go into the holes that it's supposed to but it still goes on tight. The arms are painted in blue and have dark gray joints and black panel-lines.

Legs

These double-jointed blue legs that the Gouf has are nicely done. They are panel-lined in black and the feet are similar to the Zaku II 2.0s, just that their a different mold. Underneath the foot is all dark gray and it has 3 thrusters under each foot the main one having black on the inside. Since the skirt armor is fairly short, these legs are good for posing. The legs also have that "shadow" paint on them.

Weapons and Accessories

120mm machine gun- This machine gun is exactly like the Zaku II 2.0s and has the removable ammo drum and the front handle moves from side to side. The only difference being that the gun is panel-lined in black and the gun itself is in a dark gray color and features that "shadowing" paint job on it.

Hands- All the hands hold the weapons nice and tight. The thumb on the machine gun hands have ball-joints and are movable.

Heat rod- The heat rod is customizable and can be long or short, curvy or straight, depending on what you want. All the pieces are in sections and connect via ball joints to give them even more articulation. They are painted in gray with a black panel-line.

Shield- The shield is completely re-done compared to the MSiA Gouf figure. This shield is painted dark blue and light blue with that "shadowing" effect painted on. It fits onto the arm by taking the hand off and sliding the piece (which fits all the way around the arm and cannot come off unless the hand is off) goes into the 2 holes in the arm. The inside is in gray with black panel-lines and can.....~gasp~....hold the heat saber in it! Yay! Finally!

Heat saber- This is the best weapon that this EMSiA Gouf comes with. The handle is in dark green with black panel-lines and the saber part is in orange. The saber piece can come off to give it a "turned-off" look.

Conclusion

This is by far the best MSiA I've ever seen and surely lives up to its name by being "extended." This EMSiA also has a new type of plastic that's harder and sturdier. No more flimsy beam sabers! I hope that all future MSiA and EMSiA have this new plastic. I highly recommend this no matter what kind of Gundam fan you are.
