At first, I didn't think that much of this GFF, but in the last two weeks before its release, staring too much at the pics made me decide to buy this. So after a day of getting confirmation that this baby has arrived at a local shop, I proceeded to buy it discreetly, taking note the fear factor that someone might beat me to it.

The FA-010A Full Armor ZZ Gundam was one of the three Gundam FAZZ units from the Gundam Sentinel novel from Model Graphix. Two FAZZ units joined the "Gundam Team" of Task Force Alpha in the battle against the New Decides in U.C. 0087.

The FA-010A is under the same production line of the MSZ-010 Full Armor ZZ Gundam, from the Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ series. Typically similar but different in terms of design differences on the head, backpack and the double beam rifle.

Box art- The box design is the standard Fix Figuration design. The ZZ Gundam on the left side, the backpack in the right, and the hyper mega cannon above it. The armor parts are also on the back as well as other parts. The back has a marvelous illustration of the FAZZ and other pictures including the basic ZZ itself with all the armor parts laid out. Inside is also an instruction manual provided on how to snap on the armor.

Head

Detail-wise, it's precise to the MG version. Even through it's quite a smaller scale if you compare it to the HG ZZ, the details make up for it.

Torso

Well done. Typically the design is MG, but looks more buffed up. The front skirt armor is quite an interesting construction, its connected to the crotch via ball joint ala MG, leaving the legs to be able to "kick" all the way up. On the opposite side, like the MG, its butt-naked, and that where the backpack plugs itself in.

The backpack is ever faithful to the MG as well, with a few minor flaws. The wing binders aren't articulated and so does the thrust nozzles and worse, the missile storage doesn't open up like the MG. The right side does however, detaches so you could swap on the Hyper Mega Cannon support.

Arms

Taken from the MG, it's definitely detailed, plus articulation isn't a problem. The arms themselves are well articulated, & quite firm. I suspect that there would be possibly a Fix ZZ Gundam coming out, since the arms have some gap so they could be attached to the wing binders of the ZZ. Looks promising. Only a right hand for holding the Hyper Mega Cannon is supplied, considering that this unit was never meant to be for melee attacks.

Legs

The legs' articulations are patterned after the MG version, even with something you wouldn't expect to be featured: It actually has the twisting articulation of the legs, making the whole unit much more poseable even in Full Armor mode. The foot is well articulated as well, making this figure stand despite the weight. Details are grand.

Weapons and Accessories

The hyper mega cannon is huge. Nice and crisp details even to the slightest screw. It's thick, long and very mean. Bandai has added a support base so the whole figure isn't affected by the weight the HMC gives when attached. Hence, it eliminates ANY balance problems. As for the double beam cannon, it snaps on tightly on the right hand armor. But which a DIFFERENT DESIGN OF GUN BARRELS unlike the MG, the figure itself is very canonical to the design..

Full Armor system- Everything snaps on like crazy. fits firmly, perfectly and snugly (and seems more secure) just like the MG. Details are taken to the smallest millimeter. However, there are two irritating problems: Connecting the power cables from the mega particle cannon from the crotch armor to the back. (very irritating) Another is the side waist armor. Attaching the side skirt armor requires that you PLUG & INSERT, which falls off easily and gets in the way of the legs when it articulates sideways. Despite these few minor flaws, the thing stands well with the FA system on.

Conclusion

Based from a formidable MS, the figure takes form of the design very accurately. Minor feature flaws aside, articulation is never a problem for this one. I'd suggest that you go get this one. It's pretty much worth it!
