The head on this kit is of fairly simple construction; the front
and back half pieces, an inside part with the eyes, main camera
and red chin then a red and yellow piece for the V-Fin on the
head. Thankfully, Bandai didn't omit the rear camera sticker on
this kit, which is very considerate of them.
Torso
This is a fairly standard SD torso. It has a simple twisting waist
to allow turning independent of the lower body and pegs on the
sides for the arms; the beam saber racks are unfortunately molded
together with the beam sabers in black, meaning you need to paint
white on black (meaning
it's a pain in the arse for people who like to paint their kits).
I'm considering the attached G-Defenser as part of the kit so
it goes in here;
the main part is pretty much all fixed pieces that can't move,
and then it
has a double polycap joint for the two blue parts that go either
side of
the Mk II.
Arms
The arms are nicely jointed in the middle and at the shoulder,
which gives the kit a good range of motion for whatever you want
to do with it. The hands aren't on polycaps though and have just
a plastic stick coming out the back, meaning if you play around
with them too much the plastic will wear down and they'll fall
out (although this hasn't happened in the half year or so I've
had the kit).
Legs
The
feet have a separate red part for the bottom of the foot and the
top so as to save you from having to paint it to look right. They're
connected to the skirt armor with a ball joint polycap, which
unfortunately is not fully utilized for two reasons, the first
being that the skirt armor is in the way and the second being
that the G-Defenser on the back gets in the way as well.
Weapons
and Accessories
This
kit comes with only the long rifle that the Super Gundam has in
the show, the barrel of which is molded all in one piece and all
in white, making it easy to paint but (argh!) one-sided yet again.
There's also the two little blue parts that fan out on the top
and bottom of the kit.
Conclusion
Overall this is another average SD like the Guncannon (which I
love so much) and so it gets the same score.
