Technical and Historical Notes

The AGE-1AJ Gundam AGE-1 Assault Jacket was an upgrade to the AGE-1 Gundam AGE-1 Normal developed independently of the AGE System. Its design was created by Dique Gunhale, who joined the Earth Federation Forces after the War of Bat Extermination in AG 115. The Assault Jacket was designed for attacking fortresses like Ambat and focused on upgrading the AGE-1 Normal’s offensive and defensive capabilities; it also featured enhanced sensors, better weapons accuracy and thrusters with higher endurance that allowed the unit to operate longer. The additional thrusters also helped to keep the suit mobile despite the additional weight. As it was still in the testing stage, it could be equipped on other suits. The final form of the Assault Jacket was created with the development of the Glastron launcher and was known as Full Gransa, which was used in AG 164 by the AGE-1G Gundam AGE-1 Gransa.
