When Asemu Asuno and his AGE-2 Gundam AGE-2 Normal went missing during a deep space mission in AG 151, he was presumed dead. In reality, Asemu experienced a nearly fatal encounter with the unmanned mobile armor Sid that heavily damaged the AGE-2 Normal. The AGE System was recovered from the site of the battle and was later installed on the AGE-3 Gundam AGE-3 Normal. After being rescued by the Bisidian space pirates, Asemu joined them and adopted the pseudonym Ash. The AGE-2 Normal was remodeled at the Madorna Workshop into the pirate-themed AGE-2DH Gundam AGE-2 Dark Hound. Aside from its pirate aesthetics, including a low visibility black color scheme, the AGE-2 Dark Hound featured improved mobility over its original incarnation. It was armed with a DODS lancer, beam vulcans, beam sabers and multipurpose anchor shots that fired out from its shoulder binders. The anchor shot could be used to grapple onto objects or electrocute an enemy mobile suit. In place of the AGE System, the AGE-2 Dark Hound’s chest was equipped with a flash eye that could be used to blind opponents. Asemu eventually became the leader of Bisidian and captain of its flagship Baronoke, which he used to attack both Vagans and Earth Federation traitors. In AG 164, Asemu revealed himself to his father and son and joined in the battle against the Vagans. Near the end of the fighting, Asemu defeated his longtime rival and former friend Zeheart Galette, who led the Vagan war effort from the field in his xvm-fzc Gundam Legilis.
