Technical and Historical Notes

The AGE-3L Gundam AGE-3 Laguna was a space assault wear part developed by Diva engineer Wootbit Gunhale independently from AGE System. When mounted on the shoulders, the AGE-3 Laguna’s funnel containers could function as laser cannons. When they were used as remote weapons, there were multiple areas where their performance was similar to that of C-Funnels. These funnels were regarded as the pioneer of the C-Funnel concept that was later developed by AGE System for the AGE-FX Gundam AGE-FX. The Britannias rifle was developed from the AGE-3 Gundam AGE-3 Normal‘s powerful (but difficult to maintain) SigMaxiss rifle and featured better maintainability as well as various components that improved the operation rate. A similar concept was also present in the Gundam AGE-FX’s rifle. It could thus be seen that Wootbit’s design is comparable to AGE System’s. As it was meant to be a space use wear, the legs were replaced with large thrusters. This design inherited part of the developmental idea behind AGE-2A Gundam AGE-2 Artimes and matched the style of the Gunhale family, who were in contact with the Gundams for a long period.
