The AIF-7S Ghost was an unmanned drone fighter manufactured by General Galaxy and used by NUNS as well as private military companies like SMS. The AIF-7S was based on the earlier AIF-X-9 Ghost, which played a role in the Sharon Apple Incident of 2040. The AIF-7S began testing in 2044 at the New Edwards Test Center on Eden and began mass production in the following year. NUNS typically assigned the AIF-7S to support its VF-171 Nightmare Plus main variable fighter, but some migrant fleets used it as their primary aerospace craft due to its cost effectiveness and ease of construction. The AIF-7S was controlled by fold communication with an electronic warfare aircraft, but if contact was severed, it could rely on previously programmed combat instructions. Its armaments included a pair of 25mm beam machine guns, two micro-missile launchers, two multipurpose missile launchers and four underside hardpoints that could mount anti-ship reaction missiles. In 2059, three AIF-7S fighters were assigned as support units for SMS pilot Luca Angeloni’s RVF-25 Messiah, and he nicknamed them Simon, Peter and John.
