In later years, ZAFT created several reconnaissance variations, including the AME-WAC01 DINN Special Electronic Installation Type and AMF-103A DINN RAVEN. In addition to those two, ZAFT also produced the AMRF-101C AWACS DINN. The back was equipped with a sensor radome, and the flight mode’s “helmet” was modified to include additional sensor equipment. The AWACS DINN was armed with multipurpose launchers and the machine gun and anti-aircraft shotgun used by the standard DINN. In C.E. 73, several AWACS DINN units were used to locate the rogue battleship Archangel after ZAFT initiated Operation Angel Down.
