Summary

A robot attacks Nouvelle Tokyo City, but Might Gaine appears and attacks. Might Gaine gains the advantage and starts beating the with its fists. Gaine notice the robot is unmanned. The robot attacks with missiles but Might Gaine dodges them; they then continue by pulling out the Dou-Rin-Ken and finishing it off with Ichimonji-Giri. In the crowd a man watches on and recognizes Might Gaine. In his lab Wolfgang is looking over the data from his robot and plans his revenge. At his company Maito makes it late to his office to prepare for a meeting, and Izumi is mad at him for this. Maito then gets a call from Hamada who was watching the battle; Hamada says he has a bad feeling about the robot and who was controlling it. Maito just shrugs it off as an evil person who just wants bad stuff to happen and heads off to his meeting. In an arena some robots are battling for Wolfgang, who has gathered 20 of them. The best man of the 20 pilots is Jurnenko, who wants to pilot Wolfgang's newest machine, but Wolfgang says he has one more person to fight. That night Maito and Izumi talk about relationships before Maito heads off on his bike. Ace No Joe walks through a bad area in the city and attacks some bikers, but due to an electrical whip he starts to lose. Suddenly Maito arrives and attacks to save him. Joe beats the rest of the guys with their own motorcycles and walks off without saying a word. Joe is suddenly surrounded by some of Wolfgang's men who want him to do something for them. Ace No Joe then fights Jurnenko and easily wins but stops before destroying the robot. Jurnenko gets mad and tries to attack with the robot's pistol, but Joe uses his mecha's pistol to knock it out of the other mecha's hand.

Wolfgang approaches Joe and talks about how he was the best in the army and was known as Ace No Joe, but he betrayed them and is now a felon. Wolfgang then says he wants Joe to work for him. Joe doesn't want to and says he's not afraid of his threats and doesn't like being ordered by people. Joe then starts to leave but Wolfgang shows Joe his newest and strongest machine: Panzer CR-17. Sally and her brother Tetsuya are having fun at an amusement park. At his house Maito prepares to launch because a robot is attacking the Nouvelle housing development. Hamada then contacts Maito and tells him the robot from before was a data collecting robot. Jurnenko is told by Wolfgang to lure Might Gaine and attacks the amusement park where Sally and Tetsuya are stuck on a ride. The robot attacks Gaine, but the combined power of Maito in the Might Wing and Gaine beat the robot. Panzer CR-17 then appears piloted by Joe, who goes after Gaine. Gaine tries to counter with Gaine Shot but it doesn't work and Gaine is knocked down by a punch. Maito then calls out Locomoriser and attacks Panzer with the Might Wing. Locomoriser attacks and they combine into Might Gaine. Wolfgang watches on and talks about he made the Panzer CR-17 on Might Gaine's data and that it has the best pilot in the world. Panzer CR-17 overpowers Might Gaine, and Maito sees that they can't win so they pull out the Dou-Rin-Ken. Panzer CR-17 then pulls out a pistol and shots the Dou-Rin-Ken out of Might Gaine's hands. Hamada then tells Maito they are sure this robot was made to fight Might Gaine. Maito says the pilot is incredibly strong and he can feel his power. Maito contacts the Joe and says he thinks they met before; Joe sees Maito was the guy from the other day and he didn't expect Maito to be the pilot. Maito and Joe introduce themselves and Joe says he is a hunter and that he found the best target, which is Might Gaine. Joe then goes back and attacks Might Gaine. Hamada tells Maito to retreat because it's too dangerous, but Maito says data is just numbers and Might Gaine can't be figured out from logic and math. He continues on that a robot has a heart of justice and when they combine there is no way they can lose. Might Gaine and Panzer CR-17 both punch each other in the face. Might Gaine then attacks more and knocks over Panzer CR-17, which gives Might Gaine time to pull out the Dou-Rin-Ken and attack with Ichimonji-Giri which damages Panzer CR-17. Jurnenko tells Might Gaine to wait as he pulls out the car from the ride which has Sally and Tetsuya in it. He threatens to kill them if Might Gaine moves. Joe pulls out Panzer CR-17s' pistol and fires on Jurnenko's mecha and destroys it. Panzer CR-17 then explodes as Ace No Joe escapes. Joe says he'll meet Maito again as long as he's a hunter and walks off.

Commentary

The villain introductions finally end with the appearance of Ace No Joe. Joe is a bit different from the previous four villains. The most important difference is that Joe does not lose to Might Gaine and swears revenge but wants to fight Might Gaine because he is a hunter. Joe also pilots the mecha himself instead of getting some lackeys to do so. He also has a sense of honor lacking in the other pilots and doesn't want to win with dirty methods. Maito seemed uncaring that a robot was gathering data on him and even that he was fighting against a robot made to defeat Might Gaine. He barely managed to win against Joe this time, so the next time he fights him could even cause more troubles for him.
