The Ideon Movies
Like Mobile Suit Gundam before it, Ideon was prematurely canceled. However, unlike Gundam, Ideon didn't receive enough episodes to properly end the series, leaving a very rushed conclusion. In 1982, director Yoshiyuki Tomino returned to Ideon with a pair of feature films- Contact and Be Invoked. A Contact was a compilation movie covering the first 32 episodes of the series, while Be Invoked presented an edited version of the final episode of the TV series, along with the true ending.
