The Space Ark class was a type of cruiser used by the Earth Federation Forces. Its basic design was similar to the earlier Clop class, although the radiator fins mounted underneath the hull were omitted. The Space Ark’s armaments included a pair of main guns, multiple secondary guns and several missile launchers. Rendered obsolete by UC 0123, one of the ships, the Space Ark, was converted into a training ship for EFF cadets. When the Crossbone Vanguard began its uprising in March UC 0123, the Space Ark got caught up in the fighting. The ship went into hiding in the Frontier I Colony and became a mobile headquarters for the civilian resistance opposing the Crossbone Vanguard. The ship, commanded by the inexperienced Acting Captain Leahlee Edaberry, played a critical role in the fighting after civilian Seabook Arno joined its ranks and piloted the prototype F91 Gundam F91.
