Technical and Historical Notes

The ASW-G-66 Gundam Kimaris Vidar was the final evolution of Gaelio Bauduin’s Gundam Kimaris. Its previous iteration, the ASW-G-XX Gundam Vidar, was camouflaged to hide its true identity, which included mounting a third Ahab reactor to mask its energy signature. This third reactor was removed from the Kimaris Vidar. The Kimaris Vidar retained the Alaya-Vijnana System Type E, a support system that allowed Gaelio to have the same performance levels of true Alaya-Vijnana users. Optimized for space combat, the Kimaris Vidar featured all-new weapons and armor. The Kimaris Vidar’s armaments included two shields mounted on sub-arms connected to the backpack, plus a sword, drill knee pile bunkers, and a drill lance with two 200mm guns. The drill lance could fire two Dainsleif rounds, which were loaded with special KEP shells. As McGillis Fareed’s rebellion faltered, he used the ASW-G-01 Gundam Bael in a final duel against his former friend. During the battle, Gaelio inflicted serious damage on the Gundam Bael and mortally wounded McGillis, who soon after succumbed to his wounds.
