As DC’s first combat robot, the Balcion’s design was based on the Balcione blueprints left behind by Dr. Frank. It was equipped with two 40mm grenade launchers located in the chest and a beam cannon located in the forehead. The beam cannon’s power consumption was too high, so an external dynamo needed to be attached for it to function. Only one Balcion was constructed, piloted by Dr. Frank’s daughter Lyune. It was brought into active service to combat Psybuster, and while Lyune faced Psybuster many times, she was defeated on each occasion. Eventually, Balcione was destroyed when Psybuster, then piloted by Ken Ando, accidentally cut it in half. Lyune survived and eventually joined Ken in his fight against DC.
