The BG-011B Build Burning Gundam was the completed version of Sei Iori’s SB-011 Star Burning Gundam. It was an original design that was not based on any pre-existing Gunpla, but its general appearance and martial arts focus resembled the Neo Japan mobile fighters from the 1994-95 anime TV series Mobile Fighter G Gundam. The Build Burning’s clear parts were capable of storing Plavsky particles for later release, similar to the Radial General (RG) Purpose System that Sei incorporated into past Gunpla. Sei designed the Build Burning for his friend Reiji and disguised it in the armor of an MS-09 Dom, which he then placed inside his world championship trophy and left behind at Seiho Academy. The Build Burning was discovered by transfer student Sekai Kamiki, a novice at Gunpla Battle who was trained in the Jigen Haoh style of martial arts. The Build Burning’s melee focus allowed Sekai to make use of Jigen Haoh special attacks.
Sekai joined fellow students Fumina Hoshino and Yuuma Kousaka to form a team called the Try Fighters, which competed in the 13th Gunpla Battle Japanese U-19 Championship. As part of Fumina’s support plan, her SD-237 Winning Gundam could separate into modular parts that Sekai and Yuuma could use to power up their attacks. The Winning Gundam’s torso could transform into a hand attachment for the Build Burning called the Winning Knuckle for use with Sekai’s special attacks. After the Try Fighters advanced from the qualifier round to the tournament finals, Yuuma upgraded the Build Burning into the TBG-011B Try Burning Gundam.
