The CAMS-05 Mack Knife was a transformable mobile suit developed by the Capital Army as a successor to the CAMS-03 Elf Bullock. The Mack Knife utilized a similar transformation system as its predecessor, but overall it was shorter. The Mack Knife’s transformation system reduced the surface area to decrease its chances of being hit by enemy fire. Like the Elf Bullock, the Mack Knife could equip a large booster to extend its cruising range. It was also equipped with a special “photon eye” optical sensor. Its armaments included eight beam vulcans, plasma claws, four grenade launchers and two AI-guided photon bombs that were accurate even in the presence of high levels of Minovsky particles. Despite its high maneuverability and firepower, the Mack Knife required a skilled pilot. The Capital Army later mass produced the suit as the CAMS-05P Mack Knife Mass Production Type.
