Following the creation of the CB-001.5 1.5 Gundam, Beside Pain proposed to Veda the mass production of the design as the CB-001.5D2 1.5 Gundam Type Dark. Aside from the color scheme, there were no known differences from the original. Ribbons Almark, who possesses control of Veda, reviewed the data and concluded that the 1.5 Gundam Type Dark was a suitable unit for his Innovade comrades to pilot while he used the CB-0000G/C Reborns Gundam. However, due to the factory aboard the Celestial Being mass producing the GNZ-004 Gaga at the time, it was unknown if mass production ever began on the 1.5 Gundam Type Dark.
