Technical and Historical Notes

The Combat Helicopter patrolled the skies over Orb, but they also functioned as personnel transports. Capable of VTOL (Vertical Take Off and Landing), it had accommodations for two pilots and was lightly armed with two machine cannons. It could launch from land military bases and Aegis class destroyers. As a light aircraft, it was no match for the Earth Alliance’s GAT-01 Strike Dagger, which was deployed in mass numbers during the Alliance’s invasion of Orb in June C.E. 71.
