A variation of the EMS-06 Batalla, the Diona was a Jupiter Empire mobile suit designed entirely for propaganda purposes. Its exterior was given a distinctly feminine appearance, complete with a humanoid face mask, relegating the main camera to its “crown.” With overall performance on par with the EMS-07 Elevado, the Diona was used exclusively by the royal guard for Princess Tetenith Dogatie. Though it was said the pilots were all elite female members of the Empire’s Newtype corps, this also seemed to be propaganda. Three years after the Jovian War, a single Diona was used by Europa Dogatie to escape the revived Jupiter Empire, and was later refitted into the Angel Diona.
