The Drone was an automated attack craft used by the Zentradi forces that was armed with multiple beam cannons. During the final battle of Space War I, the Macross forcibly smashed through the exterior of the Gol Boddole Zer mobile fortress and deployed an attack force led by Hikaru Ichijyo’s VF-1S Strike Valkyrie. As Hikaru traveled deeper into the mobile fortress, he encountered and destroyed multiple Drones blocking the path to the Zentradi leader.
