As the 7th Space War dragged on, the United Nations Earth needed to field as many weapons as it could against the Space Revolutionary Army’s mass produced mobile suits. One stopgap measure included upgrading civilian worker pods into the DT-6600 Daughtapp. The Daughtapp’s only armament consisted of a single 80mm cannon mounted underneath the main body. The Daughtapp’s main role was to defend battleships and provide support for the mass produced DT-6800A Daughtress. Naturally, the Daughtapp faired poorly against the S.R.A.’s mobile suits, but many survived the war and were later modified by civilians to produce designs such as the DTM-6600 Daughtapp (Marine).
