The EB-08jjc Reginlaze Julia was a prototype mobile suit developed for Gjallarhorn’s Outer Lunar Orbit Joint Fleet (aka Arianrhod Fleet). The mobile suit’s unusual name was coined by Yamazin Toka, the fleet’s chief engineer, in recognition of the pilot it was intended for: Julieta Juris. This prototype was built on the same advanced Reginlaze Frame used by the EB-08 Reginlaze Standard Type. However, in contrast to the Standard Type being a general purpose mobile suit, the Reginlaze Julia was a high performance machine designed to match Julieta’s skills and thus maximized mobility and output. The Reginlaze Julia’s extended leg structure featured an integrated thruster unit. Although designed mainly for space operation, the suit’s leg claws could reposition to allow for ground use. Combat data from the EB-AX2 Graze Ein contributed to the development of the Reginlaze Julia. The suit’s main armaments were a pair of powerful Julian swords, but they could optionally be replaced by a large blade and shield (with an integrated wire anchor). Controlled by electrical signals, the Julian swords could operate in both sword and whip modes, and their tips were constructed from the same rare metal as the V08-1228 Grimgerde’s Valkyrja blades. The leg thruster units also housed a pair of blades. In the final battle of the McGillis Fareed Incident, Julieta killed ASW-G-08 Gundam Barbatos Lupus Rex pilot Mikazuki Augus, which ended the armed resistance by Tekkadan.
