The EDM-GA-02 Gundam Lfrith Thorn was a prototype mobile suit developed by the Ochs Earth Corporation for the anti-Spacian resistance organization Dawn of Fold. It was based on the older XGF-01 Gundam Lfrith Pre-Production Model, but nearly every aspect of it was new aside from the GUND Format base components. Its unusual design of long arms and short legs allowed it to withstand the most intense combat situations and gave it a stable center of gravity. The Lfrith Thorn’s abilities made it ideally suited to serve in a backup role. Its armaments included beam sabers, a beam diffuse gun, a shield and a phased array cannon (also mounted on its sister unit, the EDM-GA-01 Gundam Lfrith Thorn). In A.S. 122, the Lfrith Thorn was assigned to Norea Du Noc, who operated as a team with Sophie Pulone’s Lfrith Ur. After attacking Plant Quetta, Sophie and Norea infiltrated the Asticassia School of Technology and later attacked the school during the Rumble Ring duel event. Norea went into hiding after Sophie died in combat, but after hearing about violence in the Earth city Quinharbor, she went into a rampage and attacked the school again to kill as many Spacians as possible. Elan Ceres (aka Enhanced Person Number 5) calmed Norea down, but she was ultimately killed by responding Dominicus forces.
