Technical and Historical Notes

Created for the anti-Crossbone unit known as the Death Gale Team, the EMS-VSX2 Abejo was a compact machine with an overall profile of around 10 meters. Its original base was the EMS-12 Arana, a machine designed to have extreme speed and mobility for the invasion of Earth. The Abejo’s small generator combined with its high speed gave it excellent stealth, but also meant that it lacked the ability to power any beam weapons. Instead it wielded a rapid-fire needle gun, which was very effective thanks to its ability to penetrate enemy armor and damage their internal machinery, which had the benefit of hampering its ability to fight back. These traits combined to give the Abejo a harassment role in battles with the Crossbone Gundams, darting in and out of combat and hamstringing them so the EMS-VSX1 Quavarze could land a decisive blow. Though destroyed near the end of the Jovian War, the Abejo’s remains were seized by the Earth Federation Forces, and three years later it was restored as the Arana Abejo in order to stop the revived Empire’s new colony laser.
