One of many F90 Gundam F90 optional armament variations developed by the Earth Federation Forces’ SNRI during the UC 0110s and 0120s, the F90M Gundam F90 M-Type (Marine) was designed for underwater combat. Although the development of aquatic mobile suits by the EFF was certainly rare, the F90 M-Type was well-equipped and well-armed for this task. Underwater propulsion was provided by a large hydrojet thruster pack mounted on the Gundam’s backpack, and this pack also mounted several control surfaces to more easily facilitate maneuvering. For heavy firepower, the M-Type carried four large homing torpedoes on its legs, with a pair of underwater-use rocket packs on its forearms and a hand-held arrow shooter gun for closer-range firepower, and a combat knife for melee combat.
