Fafner in the Azure: Right of Left

Fafner in the Azure: Right of Left is a TV special that aired exclusively in Japan in 2005. It is a prequel to the 2004 TV series Fafner in the Azure: Dead Aggressor. The TV special retains the same creative staff as the series, led by director Nobuyoshi Habara. The story focuses on Ryou Masaoka and Yumi Ikoma, two teenagers living on Tatsumiya Island who are selected to pilot the new Fafner mecha on a secret mission. It has not been released on home video in North America.
