The FF-08GB G-Core was a variation of the FXA-08GB G-Core exclusively for use within the atmosphere. Although its basic design was unchanged, the life support systems and mobile suit electronics were removed, and secondary air intakes were installed on top of the engines. A propellant drop tank could also be attached under the nose block. This version of the G-Core was used as a chaser aircraft during the development of the MSZ-006D Zeta plus D.
