The FF-3F Recon Type Saberfish “Duckbill” was a reconnaissance variant of the Earth Federation Forces’ FF-3F Saberfish space fighter. The Duckbill featured a modified longer nose that mounted search and reconnaissance equipment and that also featured cockpit space for a pilot and radar operator. The Duckbill’s rear container featured additional sensor equipment. Due to its reconnaissance role, the Duckbill was unarmed. The EFF deployed the Duckbill to the Battle of Loum in early UC 0079 as war broke out with the Principality of Zeon.
