The FF-X29A G-Parts [Hrududu] was a power-up craft developed for the use of the RX-121-1 Gundam TR-1 [Hazel Custom]. Unlike the previous option parts, the Hrududu itself could function as an independent support machine, and it was also equipped with a cockpit that could accommodate a pilot. As its G-Parts name indicated, the Hrududu inherited the concept of the G-Fighter developed as a support mecha for the RX-78-2 Gundam during the One Year War. However, since it couldn’t perform the same kind of midair docking and conversion as the G-Fighter, when it was time for a sortie the choice needed to be made whether to attach it to the Hazel Custom or launch it separately as a support machine. As an independent support unit, the Hrududu itself could function like a fighter, and its functions could be further enhanced by connecting two of these machines together.
This connection and extension was possible because the parts which made up the Hrududu were extremely modular, and the connector sections used an energy supply system based on movable frame technology. When two Hrududu units were combined, they demonstrated mechanical characteristics close to those of a mobile armor. The left and right wing units of the Hrududu had different functions. The thruster wing unit served as a supplemental thruster, and the claw wing unit as a hardpoint for carrying weapons. The Hrududu’s thruster wing unit contained a generator similar to the one installed in the movable booster pod of the RX-121 Gundam TR-1 [Hazel]. The claw wing unit had latches for energy pack holders, and the wing unit itself unfolded into an articulated claw. This claw contained a beam emitter which could function as a beam gun or beam saber, and the barrel of the long blade rifle could be connected to this beam emitter to form a beam cannon.
