Two months ago during Pasdar‘s siege on Tokyo, Kaidou falls out of Tokyo Tower. His pendant glows and unlocks his sealed memory, allowing him to fly. He remembers himself as Arma from the Trinary Solar system. Kaidou then finds the dying Pizza and tells him that his battle isn’t over yet. Pizza still can’t remember anything so Kaidou purifies him and restores his body as Soldat-J, Warrior of Abel. They then find the remains of Penchinon and purify him as well. Leo repeats that they can’t allow ZX-04 to reach the north pole and Taiga asks about the status of Izanagi which is in atmospheric entry. With the Brave Robots Corps still offline, only Guy, Galeon and Mic can stop the Primeval now. Mamoru wakes up and looks out a porthole to find that the J-Ark is underwater. Ai notes that Mamoru is late and Isamu assures her that he just lost track of time. Ai then spots an aurora that’s stretched all over the sky. Mamoru stumbles upon a room containing the Primeval Zonder crystals. Kaidou and J appear and explain that their objective is to collect all the pieces and wonder why Mamoru as a creation of Cain doesn’t know this. Mamoru asks who Cain is and Kaidou says that Mamoru’s memory is probably sealed like his was. The aurora is seen from all the cities in the northern hemisphere and Leo explains that it’s caused by the plasma rays from the sun colliding with the Earth’s magnetic field. ZX-04’s electromagnetic field prevents any electronic equipment from being used near it, but Baribarien‘s Mirror Coating-based reentry system can be used to shield Mic long enough for him to get close. Swan asks if they can use Disc X, but Liger replies that since they don’t have any data on the Primevals, using Disc X indiscriminately would cause more damage to the Earth than to the Primeval. Entouji receives a transmission from Mamoru and everyone is surprised to find out he’s in the Arctic Ocean. Mikoto tells Guy and Mic to find Mamoru and they quickly launch from Izanagi after Guy fuses with Galeon. Guy lands and is promptly greeted by J-Der. He accuses Pizza of kidnapping Mamoru and J tells him that he is neither Pizza nor a kidnapper. Guy doesn’t believe J and charges at him. J reminds Guy that he can’t defeat him and easily dodges. Mamoru flies out of J-Der and tells Guy that J didn’t do anything, prompting the latter to leave. Guy tries to give chase but Mamoru reminds that they must deal with the Primeval first.
Guy rides on Mic and they activate the Baribarien’s Mirror Coating to get close to ZX-04. Mic then changes to Boom robot mode and plays Disc M to disable the Primeval while Guy tries to get closer. ZX-04 however counters them both with a barrage of icebergs and ice shards, trapping Guy and knocking Mic into the ocean. As the aurora begins spreading over the entire planet, Hyuuma tells Mamoru to evacuate Izanagi because he’s going to use it to ram the Primeval but then they both notice Amaterasu descending. Guy thinks that the aurora is beautiful and wishes the Brave Robot Corps was here. He starts hearing a siren and thinks he’s imagining things, but the sound gets closer and he realizes it’s really Volfogg. Volfogg quickly summons the Gun machines and combines into Big Volfogg, then uses his Mirror Coating and Murasame Sword to dash past the ice barrage and free Guy. Big Volfogg apologizes for being late and Guy says he’s been waiting for him. Mic is lifted out of the water by HyoRyu and EnRyu arrives just in time to smash an ice spike aimed at Guy. HyoRyu and EnRyu change to robot mode and start blasting the ice covering ZX-04. Mamoru is glad that they’re recovered and Hyuuma remarks that the Braves will always be ready when the Earth is danger. GoldyMarg calls in to remind everyone that he’s there as well. He transforms into robot mode and throws a massive block of ice at ZX-04. The Brave Robot Corps continue to blast the Primeval while Mic starts playing Disc P. Kazou reports that the Gao machines are finally repaired and Taiga quickly authorizes Final Fusion. HyoRyu and EnRyu combine into ChoRyuJin and use the Eraser Head to disperse the electromagnetic field while Big Volfogg disables ZX-04’s barrier with Melting Siren. Big Volfogg and Guy destroy two of ZX-04’s legs and knock it over followed by Guy combining with GoldyMarg. Liger tells Guy that once they grab the core they can analyze it and be able use to Disc X to destroy the Primevals. Guy uses Hammer Hell and Heaven to finally destroy ZX-04 and retrieve its core. Pagliaccio leaves after observing the battle. Guy greets his restored comrades and says he’s glad they’re back. Mamoru tries to purify the Primeval core but nothing happens. J uses the J-Quath to grab the core and flies away. Guy lets him go and wonders what his goal is. Mamoru is shocked that Kaidou can purify the Primeval cores but he can’t.
You can’t keep a good Brave down. The Corps revive just in time to save Guy and mount the hurt on the Primeval, and we learn more about the origins of Kaidou and J. Although J isn’t antagonizing 3G, it’s clear he has no intention of being their ally either. Kinda funny when you consider how well he got along with his former Machine King partners. Interestingly, the Zonder crystals made from the purified Primeval cores are shaped like puzzle pieces that form a large sphere. Meanwhile, it looks like Mamoru’s purification ability needs a bit of an upgrade lest he become nearly obsolete. Kaidou’s claim that Mamoru’s memories are still sealed will probably play into that. For now, it’s great to see the Brave Robot Corps back in action.
