King of Braves GaoGaiGar Final is an OVA series released in Japan from 2000-2003. It is a sequel to the 1997 TV series King of Braves GaoGaiGar. Directed again by Yoshitomo Yonetani, the main creative staff from the TV series returned for this sequel. The story again focuses on 3G, which faces a new threat greater than the Zonder and Primevals. In 2005, the OVA was edited into a 12 episode TV series that aired in Japan with the subtitle Grand Glorious Gathering. This TV version adds scenes that connect the series to Yonetani’s Betterman anime. A planned sequel called Project Z was canceled and retooled into a light novel. GaoGaiGar Final was released on home video in North America by Discotek Media in 2023.
