The GAT-SO2R N Dagger N was a special operations mobile suit based on the GAT-01A1 Dagger and GAT-X207 Blitz Gundam. In its model number, SO stood for Special Operations, while the first N was for N-Jammer Canceler and the second N was for Ninja. The N Dagger N was equipped with a nuclear engine, as well as a Mirage Colloid stealth system. The development team was officially dissolved in C.E. 72 upon signing of the Junius Treaty, which prohibited the use of nuclear engines and Mirage Colloid. However, work actually continued as a secret Ninja Works project. Multipurpose launcher ports distributed around body were usually fitted with grappling wires. The N Dagger N was armed with a “Schildgewehr” offensive shield system similar to the “Trikeros” system used by the Blitz Gundam. The “Hakenfaust” piercer lock was similarly inspired by the Blitz Gundam’s “Gleipnir” rocket anchor. In addition, the N Dagger N was also armed with an anti-armor penetrator, as well as a pair of anti-armor swords and hand-mounted anchors. On October 2 C.E. 73, two N Dagger N units were involved in the Earth Alliance’s surprise raid on ZAFT’s Armory One PLANT, in which three new Gundam mobile suits were stolen. However, the two N Dagger N units were intercepted in space by PLANT test pilot Courtney Hieronymus’ XMF-P192P Proto Chaos.
