The GAT-X105B/ST Star Build Strike Gundam was an upgraded version of Sei Iori’s GAT-X105B/FP Build Strike Gundam Full Package, created exclusively for the finals of the 7th Gunpla Battle World Championship. The basic appearance and armaments of the Star Build Strike were the same as earlier versions, but there were substantial changes in performance. The Full Package’s BB-01 Build Booster was replaced by the upgraded UB-01 Universe Booster, which mounted a pair of star beam cannons. Other changes included the new star beam rifle and absorb shield. These new armaments worked in conjunction with three systems created by Sei to manipulate Plavsky particles: the Absorb System, Discharge System and Radial General (RG) Purpose System. The Absorb System could take in the energy from enemy beam attacks through the shield, and that energy could be used by the Discharge System to increase the power of the star beam rifle. The Discharge System could also create a Plavsky power gate that could increase the unit’s speed or improve its melee attacks. Finally, the RG System could power up specific parts of the body by concentrating Plavsky particles, which allowed for special attacks like the Build Knuckle.

The Star Build Strike propelled Sei and Reiji to victory in the final battle against Meijin Kawaguchi’s modified PPGN-001 Gundam Exia Dark Matter. After the tournament ended, Sei and Reiji led a team of Gunpla Battlers in an attempt to stop the out-of-control Arista crystal that damaged the PPSE stadium. After Reiji returned to his world and Sei surpassed the impediment that stopped him from piloting, he upgraded the Star Build Strike into the GAT-X105B/CM Build Strike Gundam Cosmos, which he used to compete in the 8th Gunpla Battle World Championship.
