A space monitoring station detects the Devil Gundam in the Guiana Highlands. Dr. Mikamura and Urube want to send the new God Gundam to help Domon, but Karato objects. He says that the God Gundam is only for the Finals, and they should contact Rain to see if Domon is even there. Rain wakes up on the airplane and is told by Nastasha that Domon stayed behind. Master Asia attacks Domon, and he asks where Domon’s Super Mode is. Domon attacks mercilessly, but his attacks have no impact. Master Asia asks Domon what sort of training he even managed to accomplish. He manages to wrap Domon up with his beam cloths until Schwarz appears and frees him. Master Asia asks if Domon can beat him without Schwarz’s help. Domon goes into a rage when Kyoji laughs at him, and Schwarz tells him to calm down. Master Asia tells him he should be angry and use all the rage that has brought him victory before to fight. Domon tries to attack the Devil Gundam, but Schwarz grabs him and takes him away. Domon tells Schwarz not to interfere, and Schwarz explains that if Domon uses rage instead of Clear Tranquility to activate the Super Mode, then he’ll lose. If he abandons the calmness in his heart, then Master Asia has the advantage. Domon recognizes Schwarz’s voice and wonders who it is. Schwarz says that Domon is too angry to use Clear Tranquility, and he decides to leave. Rain contacts her father and tells him that Domon is still fighting the Devil Gundam. With Karato’s approval, the God Gundam is launched and sent to the Guiana Highlands.
Master Asia calls Domon out, and the battle continues. Domon receives a terrible beating from Master Asia. He seems to be at the limit of his power when he hears Kyoji laughing at him again. He goes into a rage and activates the Super Mode. He begins attacking the Devil Gundam with incredible power. Master Asia notes that in this berserker rage, Domon is wasting all his power. He moves in to attack, but he is stopped by Schwarz. However, the Gundam Spiegel is heavily damaged by Master Asia. Domon wonders why Schwarz left, and Schwarz explains it was to build his confidence. He asks Domon to remember the cave and Clear Tranquility. Master Asia grabs the Shining Gundam by the neck with his beam cloths and starts applying pressure. Domon is able to concentrate, and he sees his parents and Rain. He becomes totally calm and activates the Hyper Mode, which turns the Shining Gundam gold. He mercilessly attacks the Master Gundam and prevents it from retaliating. After defeating Master Asia, Domon performs the Shining Finger on the Devil Gundam and destroys it and Kyoji. After Domon relaxes, Master Asia sees who Schwarz really is and can’t believe it. As the Devil Gundam breaks down, the capsule containing the God Gundam lands nearby.
This was quite the action packed episode, as it is the final showdown between Domon and the Devil Gundam. But wait, this is only episode 23. Is the Devil Gundam really gone? Considering that only half the series has passed, I think not. Since the Devil Gundam has the power of reincarnation with its nanotechnology, I think it will be back. Also, Master Asia sees who Schwarz really is, but we don’t. Who is he? I believe he’s really Kyoji, as strange as that may sound. The God Gundam is sent to Domon, but it doesn’t arrive in time. Someone with a good eye will take note that when the God Gundam is launched, in the background yet another Gundam is being constructed. I guess Neo Japan likes to have a steady supply.
