Chibodee holds a press conference and says that he will defeat Domon and make real the dreams of Neo America. Some reporters are skeptical because the two of them have fought several times with no clear winner. The press conference is interrupted from an explosion within the downtown area of the city. Domon and Rain spot a Gundam Head and chase after it. Domon is about to call the God Gundam, but Master Asia arrives in his Master Gundam and mobile horse Fuunsaiki. He attacks the Gundam Head and destroys it to cover up the evidence. Domon asks why he is resurrecting the Devil Gundam, and Master Asia pretends he doesn’t know anything. The Gundam Head attacks again, and Master Asia finishes it off. He says he will make sure the Gundam Fight proceeds smoothly so that he can defeat Domon. Urube decides to return to space and find a way to defeat the Devil Gundam. Domon speaks to the other four members of the Shuffle Alliance, but they want nothing to do with the Devil Gundam anymore and leave. Chibodee shows off his new Gounetsu Machine Gun Punch, which leads Domon to believe he’s developed his own Hyper Mode. Schwarz tells Domon to concentrate on the Gundam Fight, and he will look for the Devil Gundam. He says that eventually everyone will come around and help Domon in the fight. Chibodee practices his boxing, and all his girls cheer him on. He believes that he is the hope and the dream of Neo America, and he believes he will definitely beat Domon.
Urube’s shuttle leaves for space, and Rain speaks to her father about it. He says that Domon must win the Gundam Fight to prevent a war. Alenbie visits Domon, and he asks her to help him train. The training involves her throwing boulders at him with the Nobell Gundam while he destroys them on his own without the God Gundam. As she throws more boulders at him, he sees it is like Chibodee’s new move. One of the boulders knocks him away, and Alenbie saves him. She says there is no way he can beat Chibodee alone, and Domon has a revelation. On the night of the Fight, Chibodee surfs into the ring while Domon quietly enters. Master Asia tells Wong that Chibodee’s aura is more like that of a beast than a man. The battle with Chibodee begins, and Domon sees that Chibodee is even stronger than he was the day before. Chibodee relentlessly attacks Domon and knocks him down. Chibodee knows that Domon isn’t beaten so easily, and he wants to use his final move. Both of them go into Hyper Mode and keep fighting. Domon uses his new Bushin Sapou God Shadow technique to split into five God Gundams, which allows him to catch all of Chibodee’s punches. He says that no matter how many punches Chibodee throws, he can keep splitting and catching them. Domon then uses the Bakunetsu God Finger, and the Gundam Maxter collapses. He feels defeated, but Domon says they can fight as many times as they want. Chibodee decides he will help fight the Devil Gundam. Wong and Master Asia are impressed, and Wong decides that Domon’s next opponent will be George.
Much like the previous episode, this one starts out well enough with some Devil Gundam stuff, but then it turns into plain old Gundam Fight stuff. I was worried that they would devote a separate episode to each of Domon’s friends, and they indeed have. I think it’s rather pointless, because they’ve already fought many times before, and this is just repetitive. I guess the point here is that each of the Fighters has developed their own Hyper Modes, and Domon must beat them to convince them to join him. With all they’ve already been through in Shinjuku and the Guiana Highlands, it seems strange that they now don’t want to help Domon. I just wish the Devil Gundam would finish regenerating so that it can attack again and get the story moving beyond the Gundam Fight.
