Domon burns the remains of the Master Gundam and says his final farewell to Master Asia. At the hospital, Dr. Mikamura removes the DG cells from Alenbie’s body and thinks she will recover. Soldiers from Neo Japan come to arrest Dr. Mikamura and take him back to the colony. Elsewhere, the fighters of the Shuffle Alliance relax on Han’s boat and decide that losing the Gundam Fight to Domon wasn’t so bad. Elsewhere, Domon and the God Gundam are driven through the streets in a massive parade. He thinks about what Master Asia said about the Gundam Fight, how it is not ideal war. He now believes that Master Asia was right. Senator Karato flies by and thanks Domon for winning the Gundam Fight and the title Gundam of Gundams. He says it is the first time Neo Japan has ever won the Fight. Domon says he isn’t interested in that, and Karato says he will free Domon’s father. Domon leaves and says he doesn’t care about the victory. Neo Japan’s fleet arrives from space, and Karato wonders who ordered its mobilization. Domon walks by the wreckage of the Walter Gundam and Rising Gundam on the way to the hospital. He finds Alenbie, and she tells him about her fight with Rain. She also says Rain said she didn’t want to ever see Domon again. The Neo Japanese ships begin grappling the remains of the Devil Gundam and create a beam net around it for towing. As Domon frantically runs through the streets to find Rain, he thinks about her words. She believes that since everything was set up by her father, it is her sin too. Domon breaks his way past soldiers as the fleet takes off with the Devil Gundam. As it heads into space, Urube looks at Wong’s research on the Devil Gundam. He reads that the Devil Gundam needs a core life unit to function, and he deviously looks at Rain.
Everyone sits around and thinks about how they have to go back to their own countries. Domon returns to the boat, and Hoy and Ming give him Rain’s brainwave transmitter. He says it is useless now and throws it into the water. They tell him he should go after her, but he says it isn’t that easy. He decides to go visit Alenbie in the hospital. In space, Dr. Mikamura tells Urube that he’s seen the error of his ways and will turn himself in. Urube says that will mess up his plans because he found a new core life unit for the Devil Gundam. Dr. Mikamura runs to Rain and tells her to immediately leave the ship. Urube shows up and says that according to Wong’s notes, the best core life unit is one that can produce life, which would be a woman. Dr. Mikamura tries to protect Rain and is shot by Urube. Domon visits Alenbie, and she tells him he should go after Rain too. She knows he cares for Rain, but he says she doesn’t need him anymore. Suddenly, he feels Rain calling out to him. Chibodee and the others desperately search for Domon, and he returns to the boat. They give him a radio, and he listens to an emergency call from Dr. Mikamura. He is asking for Domon to save Rain from Urube and the Devil Gundam. He is forced to run away when Urube shoots at him again. Domon hesitates, and Sai Saici tells him he doesn’t need a reason to see the woman he loves. Domon realizes he won the Gundam Fight because of Rain and his friends. He calls the God Gundam and takes off. He gets onto his carrier to fly into space when he is suddenly attacked by the Walter Gundam. With the Devil Gundam resurrected again, the DG cells have resurrected Wong. He destroys the carrier, and the God Gundam falls back to Earth. Domon hears the voice of Master Asia and sees Fuunsaiki approaching. He gets onto the mobile horse and uses the Bakunetsu God Finger to destroy Wong and the Walter Gundam. With no more obstacles, he and Fuunsaiki fly into space.
There’s not too much action is this episode, as it serves to mainly wrap up what has come before and set up the last few episodes. Domon has won the Gundam Fight, but it means nothing to him without Rain and Master Asia. I found it odd that Rain would choose to leave Domon when they finally have the chance to be together. She is as innocent as he is, so that “my father’s sins are my sins” thing doesn’t really make sense. I thought Wong’s brief return in this episode was pointless and served only to delay Domon for a few minutes until he got Fuunsaiki. Now that Wong and Master Asia are gone, the original usurper of the Devil Gundam, Urube, finally returns. He still has the same plans as he originally did, and he doesn’t feel the remorse that Dr. Mikamura does. Will Rain end up as another Kyoji, the slave of the Devil Gundam? There’s only three episodes left after this, so we’ll see soon enough what happens.
