The GN-0000DVR/S Gundam 00 Sky was a custom Gunpla built by the Diver Riku (aka Riku Mikami) of Force Build Divers. It was another upgrade of his Gundam 00-inspired Gunpla, following the earlier GN-0000DVR/A Gundam 00 Diver Ace and the original GN-0000DVR Gundam 00 Diver. A large-scale overhaul of the previous version, the 00 Sky also incorporated functions of the ZGMF-X42S Destiny Gundam from the 2004-05 anime TV series Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY. The Gunpla’s Sky Drive Unit incorporated portions of the Destiny Gundam’s wings with the GN Drives. The 00 Sky featured the new Trans-Am Infinity, a combination of the Trans-Am System and the Destiny Gundam’s wings of light. Trans-Am Infinity mode released highly compressed GN particles during acceleration, which allowed the 00 Sky to surpass normal Trans-Am. During the release of these particles, the 00 Sky entered the Higher Than Sky Phase. The 00 Sky’s armaments included a beam rifle, buster sword, long rifle, beam sabers and sky bracer gauntlets. During the battle over Riku’s teammate, the EL-Diver Sarah, he created additional armaments known as the GN-0000DVR/S/HWS Gundam 00 Sky Heavy Weapon System. The HWS armaments allowed Riku to take on larger numbers of opponents from the Coalition of Volunteers. Following that battle, the Build Divers and multiple other forces teamed up to save GBN from buggy, out of control raid bosses. Two years later, Riku piloted an upgraded version, the GN-0000DVR/SM Gundam 00 Sky Moebius.
