The GNW-100P Gundam Portent was a custom Gunpla built by Shia Kijima of team Celestial Sphere. It was an original unit inspired by Celestial Being’s Gundams from the 2007-09 anime TV series Mobile Suit Gundam 00. The Gundam Portent’s most unique feature was its five karels – small machines that Shia could control and use to conduct emergency field repairs to her or her teammates’ Gunpla. The Gundam Portent could generate a defensive field, and due to Shia’s high level skills, she could lightly touch projectile weapons like missiles without setting them off. The Gundam Portent’s armaments included GN Vulcan Guns, GN Beam Sabers, a GN Smash Rifle and a GN Pierce Sword. During the final battle of the 13th Gunpla Battle Japanese U-19 Championship, Celestial Sphere engaged in a difficult battle that was ultimately won by team Try Fighters. For the following year’s tournament, Shia debuted another Gundam 00-themed unit, the GNT-0000SHIA Gundam 00 Shia Qan[T].
