The GNY-002 Gundam Sadalsuud was a second generation Gundam developed by Celestial Being at the space colony Krung Thep. The second generation was used to test designs and weapons for the future combat deployment of the third generation Gundams. As such, the Gundam Sadalsuud served as the predecessor to the GN-002 Gundam Dynames. The Gundam Sadalsuud’s design focus was to collect data/intelligence on the battlefield, and for this task it was equipped with enhanced E-sensors across its body. As it was not intended for combat, it had little offensive power and minimal body armor, but the reduced body armor meant reduced sensor interference, translating to a 30 percent increase in search capabilities. The suit’s only defense was a large sensor shield mounted on its left shoulder, and it could carry a revolve bazooka used to test aiming systems. The large sensor shield contained two sensors, while the smaller shield functioned as one sensor. The Gundam Sadalsuud’s sensors were tested in multiple environments, including underwater, as part of the development of the sensor systems of the third generation Gundams. Most of the sensors were placed in the front of the suit to prevent interference from the GN particles released by GN Drive exhaust. The blue and white antennae were used at different times, with the white deployed when GN particles were dispersed, allowing the suit to serve as a relay between allied units and the home base. After second generation testing was completed, the Gundam Sadalsuud was later transferred to Celestial Being’s support group Fereshte, where it was upgraded into the GNY-002F Gundam Sadalsuud Type F.
