After the conflict with the Innovades ended in 2312, the Earth Sphere Federation discovered hundreds of usable GNZ-004 Gaga suicide attack units aboard the ship Celestial Being. The units were hastily modified into the GNZ-004/BW Gaga Cannon and put into service with the ESF military during the ELS invasion in 2314. The Gaga Cannons were piloted by Innovades managed by Veda and featured a pair of GN Cannons to the shoulders. The cannons were derived from the rear portion of the GNX-609T GN-XIII‘s beam rifle. These new weapons were necessary as the assimilation abilities of the ELS through direct contact rendered the suicide attack function useless. Before launching, the programming of the nanomachines on the surface of the Gaga Cannon were altered, and as a result, the suit’s main color was now blue. This change of color prevented those pilots that were involved in the final battle with the Innovades from seeing it as an enemy unit. Of the 10+ Gaga Cannon units that were deployed against the ELS, less than 10 percent survive the conflict. Some GNX-803T GN-XIV pilots later reported that help from the Gaga Cannons saved them from being destroyed by the ELS.
