The GPB-X80-30F Beginning 30 Gundam was an original Gunpla created by Bandai that was not based on any pre-existing Gundam anime design. It was an upgraded version of the GPB-X80 Beginning Gundam built by Hal Irei. The most notable new addition to its equipment was many I-field control System (IFS) units, which Hal could deploy remotely and use to create both defensive and offensive I-fields. Its armaments included a beam rifle, shield, beam vulcans and 15 beam sabers, six of which are in the backpack, six in the waist and three in the shield. Hal used the upgraded Beginning 30 Gundam in the Gunpla Battle Championship and faced off against Boris Schauer’s GPB-X78-30 Forever Gundam in a rematch. One year after the championship, Hal had become a Gunpla Meister.
