The GPB-X80 Beginning Gundam was an original Gunpla created by Bandai that was not based on any pre-existing Gundam anime design. This one-of-a-kind kit was purchased by young Gunpla Builder Hal Irei as his first kit. The Beginning Gundam’s armaments included two beam vulcan guns, a beam rifle, a shield and nine beam sabers, six of which were stored on the backpack and the rest inside the shield. Hal used the Beginning Gundam in multiple Gunpla Battle fights, including a defeat at the hand of Gunpla Meister Boris Schauer’s GPB-X78-30 Forever Gundam. Later, Hal received a runner of upgrade parts at the Bandai Hobby Center, which he used to remodel the Beginning Gundam into the GPB-X80-30F Beginning 30 Gundam. The Beginning Gundam’s design also served as the basis for Shingo Asume’s GPB-X80D Beginning D Gundam and Takeru Nekki’s GPB-X80J Beginning J Gundam.
